XIQUE XIQUE

Xique-Xique was created in São Paulo (Brazil) in 2014 by Xavier Fabre (Montpellier-France) and Bibiana Graeff (Porto Alegre-Brazil), who both started music at a young age.

Their first release, the Xaxoeira EP (The Magic Movement – 2016) and most especially the tracks “1542” & “Xaxoeira” remained for more than a year in the charts and became instant classics and worldwide reference of “Downtempo music”.

Playlisted by Dixon, Optimo (“1542”) Solomun (“Disco Voador”), edited by Acid Pauli (1542 – AP edit) and remixed by Oliver Koletzki or Chris Schwarzwälder & Mira, Xique-Xique built a solid reputation in high-end music production with a unique signature sound, easily recogni- sable.

In 2021, Xique-Xique released the first album “Na Lagoa” produced between Bangkok, Istanbul and Heliodora (Brazil) which again was acclaimed by both critics and artists.

In 2022, Na Lagoa : Remixed was released (vinyl & digital), including a very unique entity of artists and music (Nutia, Dengue Dengue Dengue, Mira & Christopher Schwarzwälder, Zoe Reijue etc…) showing once again the wide musical culture of the band.

Besides thoses releases, Xique-Xique also gained notoriety as a talented “remixer”, delive- ring every time successful remixes that lead till today to daily remix requests from worldwide renowned artists.

Whereas the live sets include the participation of Bibiana Graeff – the second original member – The dj sets are always performed by Xavier alone, professional dj since 2000. Don’t expect only downtempo though, as Xavier like to explore genres with a wide bpm range (80- 130bpm).
